Overeem Doesn’t Think Brock Lesnar Will Return To UFC again

The 34 years old Mixed Martial Artist from Netherlands, Alistair Overeem has said that he does not think that Brock Lesnar is at all likely to start fighting mixed martial arts ever again. If Brock Lesnar indeed comes back to octagon then Overeem would like it very much to be his opponent but the Dutch Martial Artist thinks that there is almost no chance of that actually happening. In his professional career as a mixed martial artist, Alistair Overeem has won 38 matches and has lost only 14. Overeem won three UFC matches and also lost 3. He said that honestly he does not think that Brock Lesnar will return to UFC.

Overeem had a chance to fight Brock Lesnar in the year 2011. Their fight was UFC 141’s main event. Overeem managed to secure victory in the very first round by Technical Knockout. After that defeat, Lesnar announced that he will not be competing in the octagon anymore and went back to continue his career as a professional wrestler.  The president of UFC, Dana White has indicated not too long ago that there is a chance of Brock Lesnar returning to fight in the octagon but Overeem still thinks that there is no chance of that actually happening.

Overeem said that it is known to Lesnar that the beginning of his MMA career in UFC was not a very hard one but it did become very hard for him later on. He also said that Brock Lesnar only does what he finds easy for him to do and at present the competition has become very tough in UFC and for that reason he does not think hat Brock Lesnar will ever return to UFC again. Overeem will face off against Roy Nelson in UFC 185. The event is scheduled to be held at the American Airlines Centre, Dallas.
