    If you are going to spin this by saying Arlovski hasn’t improved while Roy has, I’m gonna spin things my way and say Werdum has greatly improvied ever since he signed with Strikeforce finishing the legend Fedor while JDS has not improved, only going the distance with Roy Nelson, who even a “washed up” Arlovski was able to finish. Strikeforce has the greatest HW of all time, along with 2 people who was able to finish the greatest hw of all time and none of these 3 men are even the champion.

Big strong bodies are more common than the true diamonds of this world…men of true character like Fedor. Overeem couldn’t carry Fedor’s jockstrap in the class department. But fighting is a younger bodies game and Fedor is older now…it doesnt matter. Life is more than fighting.

    Shields is not part of strikeforce because he wanted to fight the
    in the bestMMA organization in the world..There are a couple guys in strikeforce who can def have REAL success in the UFC (Jacare,Hendo,Diaz. & maybe Melendez,) but Id guess around 50% of strikeforces fighters have been cut from the UFC..Arlovski is washed up my freind.. He hasnt evolved or improved since he beat Nelson (Nelson has)..The soprt of MMA has a short memory..Ur only as good as your last win…Arlovski is a joke

    You said unless they are fighting and winning in the UFC they are considered second rate fighters. Shields beat Dan Henderson at Strikeforce, so at that time was he considered second rate? You might want to look into that “fact” on Andrei Arlovski there. The last that I can recall was Dana White wanting Arlovski to sign with the UFC right before he destroyed Ben Rothwell and Roy Nelson (Both went onto the UFC) and might I add that he destroyed them both better than Cain or JDS.

    The weight classes are fine the way they are, guys like Fedor, Pay Barry, Cro Cop, ect could cut down to LHW if they wanted to, they just choose not to so it’s really their loss. Creating a new weight class would just water down the HW division.

    Ofc not..you need to to look for obvious signs and changes to the body and head shape.
    I would vote for a super HW class (+250l lbs)..Fedor has been fighting heavier and bigger opponents all his career and won most, but it looks like “he’s had it”. In his prime he would have beaten both the brazilians with no problems, espcially Werdum.

    Fedor just doesn’t have the frame to compete at heavyweight with the improvements in weight cutting.
    Guys are cutting weight to get down to heavyweight.
    Fedor has always been a small heavyweight but guys these days grew up watching Fedor, Idolized him. Like most sports, the next generation has arrived. Most the people who competed in the Glory Days of Fedor (Mark Hunt, Cro Cop, Nog, Herring, Randleman, Coleman, Ogawa) aren’t even relevant in the sport at the top level anymore.

    @TechnoNor So answer my question. So you have to be on steriods to weigh 250? Someone who has great genetics, strength and conditioning coaches, and nutritionist at their disposal can’t gain 30 pounds over the course of several years? 10 losses. People can’t improve and grow in a sport?
